This company is a collection agency that has no ethics, the staff that represents this company is a joke they are verbally abusive to the customer, they total ignore what has been agreed on as far as payment on your account and how much, They activate the payment as to how much they want to take out without your permission, even when you have informed them not to.
This is stealing, if no permission is giving to continue the automatic process any longer, by the customer what would you call it. When you call the company and speak with a representative about what has happen they are rude and nasty and offer you no assistance. I have spoken with the Account manager, Section Managers, and Floor Manager and to no avail have been able to communicate with these people in fact
I was told by one of their representative because I kept calling that they are not to talk to me. I setup this repayment plan with this company in order to repay my debt, and paid it faithfully until they withdrew and unspecfied amount of money from my account without my permission and when I stopped the payments, they made another withdrawal from my account and that where I am with them now trying to get my money back

They may be aware of the law, but don't follow it...

The previous response stated that SIMM associates are trained on the law and fair credit reporting...Well of the 6 times I've called them and spoken to 4 different representatives, they've all must have had a lapse in memory. I contacted them after getting many messages and finally a mailed document stating that I owe on a debt. I contacted them by phone and I requested proof/validation of this debt. I was told they were not going to send me anything and that I was avoiding payment of this debt. They could not even validate that it was mine, and refused to do so. I finally sent a certified letter with return receipt (TWICE at that!) formally requesting the information and I have yet to get anything from them. I know this debt is not mine, however, every representative I've spoken to has refused to provide proof of it.
The law indeed.

The collection staff at SIMM is trained in every facet of the collection operation and our representatives understand and abide by the FDCPA. SIMM spends several thousands of dollars every year on training for new hires as well as continuing education for existing employees.
Complaints are a normal part of doing business in the collection industry. I can honestly say that SIMM takes each and every complaint serious. All complaints are logged and investigated. Serious accusations are sent directly to my office and I personally review each and everyone one of them. All new hires sign a document that they understand the FDCPA and if they knowingly violate this act they can and will be termintated immediately.
