State of New Jersey Complete injustice Mount Holly New Jersey

Hello All,

Let me start out by saying I understand we are supposed to believe in the justice system. However, when something like this happens to your family, it is very hard to stay quiet. Almost a year ago, my step daughters were raped by their moms ex-boyfriend. There was DNA evidence etc. The trial took almost two years to complete after numerous court appearances by everyone involved. A couple of months ago, we find out that the DNA evidence was lost and that the Judge Covert ruled there was no reason to go to trial.

My step daughters are scarred and traumatized by almost two years of consuling, bed wetting, nightmares and sheer terror of seeing this mans face everywhere they go. He was released on June 14, 2013. Let me also mention that he ran from the US Marshalls and was put on suicide watch his entire time in jail. If you are innocent is there any reason to run? Did I mention my step daughters were 7 and 5 at the time of the rape.

Now, I was involved in an argument with an aquaintance, sorry if I spelled it wrong, and was facing 5 years in prison. I did have a loaded gun licensed in the state of PA but it was never shown or fired. Lucky for me my cousin had an expensive lawyer and I got off with a felony probation.

Where is the justice.?
