Total Home Protection They don't do what they adverist Philadlphia PA Pennsylvania

I had a problem with my garbage disposal on Thursday, August 9, 2018 around 5:00 pm. My wife called Total Home Protection ato put in a claim the person on the phone took the information and then told my wife we will get a email with in 24/48 hours from the beginning of the claim. We did Friday morning about 7:30 am on August 10, 2018. The phone number of the technician was in the email. At 8:00 am Friday I call the number I got a voice mail not available, so I figured it was to early. So I waited until 8:30 am still voice mail. Then I called at 9:00 am still voice mail. I procceeded to call at 10:30, 11:00 and at 12:00 noon still voice mail. At 1:00 pm I called Total Home back and explain what was going on the person on the phone to me she was going to try she got the voice mail and she told me to try again in a hour. Well I did I called Total back asked for a supervisor he told me he was going to try. He got the voice mail also. The he told me (His Name was Angel) he was going to call another tech I told him okay.

He got the other tech on the phone and told me he couldn't come to fix my problem until Tuesday I told him that was not acceptable because I had people at my house and the couldn't use my kitchen sink. Every time I used the sink I was getting water all over the floor and inside my cabinet. He told me well we have the window of 24/48 hours I told him yes you did onthe first tech but not the second one. Then he was tell me I had to pay $60.00 dollars when the tech come to the door and he has to see if the disposal could be repaired or replaced. I told him it couldn't be repaired it was leaking bad. He said the tech has to get authorization before he can replace the disposal (it dosen't state that in the contract it state if it has to be replaced they will replce the item. Then he to me they could only go to a certain amount of money it dosen't state that in the contract either. I asked for my money back he told me it would cost me to get my money back. So what happen I replaced the garbage disposal myself and they told me they would give me $100.00 toward the cost. He also told me I could of hired my own plumber to fix the disposal but only to a certain amount. Just to let you know a garbage disposal cost start at $175.00 and up my costed me $247.00 because I replaced it with the same one I had. This company is a ripoff
