The Trane XL20I is listed as the top of their line. It is sold to consumers as being extremely well built and tested.
My experience has been that after only 6 months BOTH COMPRESSORS FAILED, as well as some unknown electrical problems. Ref# 378339 Trane stated this has never happened, yet they are unwilling to replace the compressor unit to determine what has happened. They stated there needed to be three failure events before they consider replacing the compressor unit. They indicated the failure of both compressors is considered one failure. 

If Trane is unwilling to stand behind a product which costs in excess of $10,000 then anyone considering Trane may want to think about how you would feel if this had just happened to you.

TRANE Air Conditioners & Heating & Standard TRANE Warranty Company My TRANE system needed 2 new compressors and a new coil within 6 years of installation. To make it worse, installing dealer couldn't diagnose the need for replacements and labor warranty loopholes socked me with cost to replace defective units! Arthur Air Conditoning We purchased a ten year labor warranty from Arthur Air. When our Airconditoning unit stopped working we called. Jenny the employee made an appoint right away for the next day. The moment I mentioned we had a service warranty for 10years her reply was I know nothing about YOU having a warranty!. I am canceling your appoint and YOU will have to speak to Mr Arthur in the morning. I promptly faxed a copy of my service contract made with Arthur Air when they installed my system and my Trane parts warranty both confirmed valid by Trane. After three days and repeated calls with no answers, I finally left a message stating I was going to report them to the State of Florida license division due to thier failure to perform due diligence by the warranty contract.. Please file a complaint with Trane Air Conditioning if you have had problems with Arthur Air Conditoning. Google them, the list of dissatisfied and neglected customers if extensive. Oldmar Florida

COOL AIR USA OUT OF SOUTHERN FLORIDA MIAMI/FT LAUDERDALE AREA. BUT WORKS AN RUNS ADS ALL OVER. since install of brand new 4 ton system, failed first inspection, was reporting to a man named morty, then after second time I had reported the plenum had not sealed an came apart , cooling attic not home, 1 of 3 owners service,manger extremely rude yelling, hanging up, had no regards that I was paralyzed an I need air working. mademe wait 3 days to get someone here when I was told that it would be next morning, again lies for days while I'm worried about electric bill, condensation dripping from vents, was told my ducts needed replaced, got second opinion ducts are fine except for the plenum they messed up.  They are real scammers who actually even get rude with you, hangup on youeven with 5 year protection warranty, so now I call trane, BBB an probably the local news. I'm disabled an on fixed income and these are people taking advantage of me. Florida

Ultranebs-Securenet-Medical Recieved E-mail on 4/27 stayting they would provide a tracking number for my order that evening or the next morning. Ten days later there is a charge on the credit card but no product or tracking number. They do not respond to E-mails and all you get on the telephone call is a recording that they will call you back. They do not! Quitman Internet
