called Travelocity and booked flights to Cabo, included flight insurance. when i bought the insurance i was told by agent that "for any reason you need to cancel you will get reimbursed less the fee for insurance and any flight change from the airline" sounded good right?
well after speaking with people in the Phillipines, and asking for a US agent, I was bumped around to PA., TX., and finally WI.
the insurance company that actually insures the flight is not Travelocity but travel guard out of Wisconsin. Spoke with a cust relations agent by the name of Dan Schmit and he informed me that there are only a few legitmate reasons for a refund and he would send me the six page request for a refund.
at this point it looks like I will be out the whole amount of the flights from Bos to Cabo.
