I placed an order for flashlights on December 2, 2005 for Christmas gifts thinking I am way ahead of things. Well, my first email read:

Thank you for your order. Please make sure your billing address matches the credit card you used. If it is wrong your credit card will be denied, and your order will not be sent out. Your billing address is below. If you need a correction in this please contact us now. Our contact information is below. You may now login at http://customersystem.com/new.aspx by using your e-mail address. This will allow you to track your order and verify your address. Your order details are below. If any of this is incorrect please e-mail us ASAP. You can also change your shipping address by logging into the above website. Last but not least you may redeem your free E-Card at http://www.ecardmarketplace.com. You can send Unlimited E-Cards with your purchase! (click here to learn what E-Cards are)

Sounds like a friendly company, however on December 6 I got:

This is just a courtesy e-mail letting you know that you should be receiving your flashlight order by the end of this week to the middle of next week. We are also upgrading your shipping for free from ground to a 2-3 day delivery service for this delay. All orders will be received well before Christmas time.

Still, not bad. The next one on December 12:

This is just a courtesy e-mail letting you know you should be receiving your order by the end of this week. All orders are guaranteed before Christmas. We appreciate your business and hope to provide our services in the future.

Hmmm.... I read "guaranteed before Christmas" next one on December 15:

Your order is being prepared. As soon as we have a tracking code available for your order you will receive another e-mail from us. This process normally takes around an hour or so. During high volume shipments this can take longer. Please make sure your address is correct. You can check your address by logging into www.customersystem.com.Additionaly your orders information is below. If this is not correct or you need to make further changes please let us know ASAP.

And then on December 16:

In addition please login at www.customersystem.com to view all information pertaining to your order.If you should have any questions please let us know.

Well, It is now December 29. No flashlights. And I live in Wisconsin! Every time I call the number there is no answer. I have emailed 6 times with no replies, tried live chat with no person ever coming to "chat" and even contacted UPS. UPS says I need to contact TVMarketplace to get a track on the package that never made it here. So after numerous attempts, I am out $80 and have had no contact with anyone from TVMarketplace. Do I need to spell out my advice for the future TVMarketplace shopper? "DON'T DO IT!"
