Unitedpaymentservices.com will rob you blind if you're not very careful.  Do not sign an application with them unless you've read every line of the 35 page "application". What they fail to tell you is that the 'application" is actually a contract. Once you sign it you're locked in. We made that mistake. When I initially talked to the sales rep I told him we were several months away from starting our business and would not be selling anything for at least 6 months. I told him I just wanted to get some info on the services they offer and how their system worked.   I was told we would not be charged until we sold our first item. BIG lie. We filled out the application with the understanding that we wouldn't be charged unless we used their service.

A couple months later we noticed they were indeed taking money from our bank account, $42.00 per month.  We called and asked them to cancel the account and asked for a refund. No refund was ever given.  The next month we put the business on hold (due to the downturn in the economy). A year later we decided to pick up where we left off. We took a look at our business account and found out that they were still deducting $42 per month from our account and took out $111.00 on 3 other occasions.  We called and told them that we never even launched our site and never sold anything. We told them how the rep told us we would not be charged unless we used their services. They gave us the runaround and would not refund our money.  They then took $299.00 and sent us an email telling us our account was canceled.  They called it a "cancellation fee".  I found several companies that have no cancellation fee and are much less expensive per transaction with much better service.  DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR. Stay far away from United Payment Services.  They are one of the most dishonest companies I've ever dealt with.
