I have an account with ( Virgin mobile ) and I am considering legal action as well as informing the Local Toronto newspapers. My account has a $ 200 spending cap . Thursday Dec 1 , 2011 my phone was shut off because I went over my spending cap ( no problem ) . I made a payment And my phone was back on Friday Dec 2 , 2011 with a zero $ balance remaining . ( Great )
On Saturday night Dec 3 , 2011 was phone was shut off again , I called in and I was told that im slightly over my spending cap due to unbilled usage. I did not understand how I was over , considering the day before I paid and I was way under my spending cap including unbilled usage. Fine, I paid again $ 99 at approx 1:15pm on Sunday and had my phone turned on at 4:00pm .
At approx 7:30pm on that same day Sunday december 4 , after being reconnected for only 4 hours , my phone gets turned of / disconnected again !! 4 hrs after being re connected . I called in to customer service and they said that on top of my $199 payment there is an additional $ 580 balance. I am on a $200 spending cap and yet they tell me that I owed almost $ 800 for data . Friday dec 2 my balance was zero . Saturday night it was just over $ 200 . Sunday night it jumped again an additional $ 580 .
In 4 hrs $ 580 . $800 apparently charged to a $200 dollar spending cap in a matter of hrs.. Customer service was terrible , they would not listen and said I was wrong and I have to pay .For countless hrs on the phone no supervisor or manager for that matter would talk to me except for tele people arguing that i had to pay. I did some research and virgin mobile company has a reputation for charging data to customers with out customers even using it.
It is impossible when I have a $ 200 spending cap to accumulate an $800 bill . It is also impossible that Dec 2 my balance is zero , Dec 3 , I am slightly over my spending cap ( made another payment ) Dec 4 phone reconnected for 4 hrs and disconnected and being charged an additional $ 580 on top of the $ 200 just paid. December 1 2011 I have a text from virgin stating I have an outstanding balance of $ 191 . 87 THAT INCLUDES ANY UNBILLED USAGE .
I use this phone for business and I have lost numerous clients due to Virgin mobiles negligence . Also When the $ 100 payment was made on Friday dec 2 , 2011 virgin mobile also charged the credit card seven times $ 100 totalling $ 700 dollars which will eventually be reimbursed ( so im told ).I have all the texts from Virgin which state my balance due including unbilled usage . There is no way in a matter of 4 hrs data would add up to $ 580 on top of what I already paid.
My phone is still off , nobody is responding as i was told a supervisor would contact me. Virgin mobile is by far a crooked company , that thrives on scamming people and should be stopped. I am considering legal action to stop them ripping people off & also going to the newspappers so people are aware of the scams / ripoffs virgin mobile does to there customers. This is Canada and as far as i remember it is illegal to scam !!!

The exact same thing has been happening to me with VIRGIN Mobile. They have over billed me by 850 dollars this month, and the customer support can't even explain where the fees are coming from. I'm also on the 200 spending cap. It is absolutely insane how their customer service reps have no idea where roaming fees that account for 850 dollars have come from, when I haven't been out of my city since December and started my virgin plan in January. Even worse, they refuse to connect me with management to help refund the bill. I have a strong feeling that this has been happening to a lot of Virgin mobile customers.
I'm a social media expert who has worked for a few fortune 500 companies. If this has happened to you, please leave a comment on this report. I'm going to track every single call I make in April through video and documents, and prove that Virgin Mobile is stealing from me. Once the video's done I'm going to create a page on Facebook and release the video. This shitty, money hungry, greedy, lifeless, company will finally realize that screwing over one customer can drive them out of business in a market that has few competitors.
Go f*ck yourself Virgin, you deserve this.
