VitalCheck take your money, charge you extra, and will not let you change or cancel your order. internet

I needed to replace a birth certificate. While searching for locations to make this purchase I found the link to VitalCheck on the City government website. How bad could it be, right? It clearly showed the cost of the certificate to be $17.50 and they clearly showed another $10 processing fee. I was okay with that but when I got to the end the total was $47.50 due to a $20 charge for shipping that I had not been made aware of.

As soon as this was realized I started looking for contact information on the website... NOTHING! No way of contacting them easily. After about 30 minutes of searching thier website I found a tiny link and was able to ask them my question. I sent them an email, as expeditiously as possible, requesting that they cancel my order. I then went out and made the physical purchase myself in under 30 minutes for the original price of $17.50, period. They sent me a notice saying that my EXPEDITED order would take 3-5 business days to process, still no contact information.

The next day I received an email saying that due to the EXPEDITED nature of my order they cannot change or cancel it! I am being charged almost $50 for ONE copy of a birth certificate that is being mailed from a location about 10 - 20 minutes from my home. The state charges only $17.50 for these copies, they can be picked up an ANY state location, and VitalCheck will not let me cancel my order.

How can they charge extra fees like that and give you ZERO opportunity to cancel your order in a timely manner?

I am extremely upset by VitalCheck's unprofessional demeanor.
