Not defending Walmart

I understand your trouble and your desire to make a big pocket company pay for something that was not their fault. That is the way this country is heading. I see this daily in my business where customers come in for repairs but later blame us for "damage" we supposedly caused, or charges they claim they were not aware of. The problem with most big companies is that they will roll over and give that customer what they want because they want a good customer service rating. I have a soft pillow at night. A huge portion of customers with these type of complaints do not.

You have a 8 year old car with who knows how many miles on it. Next, it was a week before it "threw a rod". Just based on the time factor you are going to have a very hard..if not impossible time convincing anyone that what ever Walmart did caused the issue.
Hopefully you talked to your mechanic..so what did they say? If so will your mechanic swear under oath in court that Walmart caused the damage? While I bet the answer to that is no, if they happen to say they will then you may want to go and file suit.

I am not a mechanic but I know alot about vehicles - I talk to my mechanic all the time about issues. Did you call your mechanic or had it checked out at a reputable mechanic in your area??? And NO I do not work for Walmart.
