I purchased my 2006 Mercedes CLS 500 on 02/14/15 from the carlot car collections. My car put me down on 05/16/15 and
I had to have it towed to my house. I decide tohave it towed to a auto body shop. The mechanic told me that the transmission was gone. He told me that the car can stay there with no storage fee as long as he going to fix the car. So remind you a transmission was going to cost alot. I remained paying my payments. Never miss one except for the one that they granted me a extension for July. I did not suppose to make another payment until 08/31/15. My payments were set u on auto draft. So the company decide to try and take a payment out for July and it did not go through. I didn't have the money and they was not supposed to draft. Getting to the point, something told me to call the shop and check on the car to let him know that I was going to get it fix in November. The shop told me that the car was repo on 08/14/15. They had to release the car. I hung up with them an cal the bank. I asked the bank why was my car picked up. The excuse they gave me was that the shop call them. NOT TRUE. They call the shop to verify that the car was there and picked it up and send it to SC so it can be sale at an auction on 08/31/15. Remind you they didnt tell me this onthe phone. They just told me fax over documents and the guy I spoke to on 08/19/15 told me that I would have fees to pay to get the car back but they can put it toward the end of the loan. NOT TRUE AGAIN. i was told today that I would have to pay $590 to get the car back and pay it by western union and then the loan would have to be refinance again. I feel like I shouldn't have to pay anything because there was no logical reason for my car to be picked up. If anything they need to compensate me. The car is still not working. I never got any of my stuff out of the car and probably never will. I was told that the manager was going to call me today. NOT he didn't. Someone please help me. Is there anything that I can do. My email is *******************

Yes unfortunately I did ny it and the carlot had everything checked and yes I should have got another warranty. I didnot stop making payments. I kept making them. That is where the problem comes in at. I never skip a payment. In fact they gave me an extension. No other payment was due until this month. No body else call me until to night and I was told the car was picked up because it in a safe place.

My story is completely true. For the ones with the smart comment the bank knew where the car was because they had all that that information. Hard for you to believe yes the body shop did not and was not going to charge me anything. As for the car it don't matter anymore because what the devil took from me God is going to handle the rest. Everything is already under control and we will see who will win this one. You can't repo a car because you think that the car is not safe. It could have been at my house still not workung and still not safe. This bank is just a rip off and will not get away with it. Ask action 9

Wow...You car "dies" in May and you take it a mechanic who is basically giving you "free" storage as long as he does the repair. So if you waited to get it repaired until June of 2020 he would have no issue? Somehow I think that is not the full story.
Getting to the point, something told me to call the shop and check on the car to let him know that I was going to get it fix in November.
- So "something" told you to just out of the blue call the mechanic and grace them with the information that you were going to get it repaired in November. Unless you have ESP, I bet that "something" would explain several things you are obviously leaving out.
By the way, if the mechanic didn't call them or inform them just how did they know where the car was?
Oh and the "I never got all my stuff out" claim would probably have held a bit more weight if it hasn't been 3 months since you dropped it off at the mechanic and gave no indication that you were going to go anywhere near the car for another 3 months.
As to what to do...pay what they require or be prepared to have the car sold at auction and you being held responsible for the deficency balance. Oh and by the way since you didn't get your car repaired at the mechanic and if you don't get it back to have that done. You can expect the mechanic to probably sue you for storage fees and at what is probably $20/day you are looking at another couple thousand dollars.

Your report makes no sense!!! You bought a car without having it checked by a mechanic. The transmission goes out, you put it in the shop for MONTHS and then make no payments because you could not afford to. They have the right to repo the car because you did not make the scheduled payments.
It is called LIFE and responsibilities. YOU set up auto payments on your account and as you stated "it did not go through". READ what you sign and don't buy a car you cannot afford like a Mercedes. And NO I do not work for them.
