Westlake financial services , this company continues with preditory loans and harassing collection. How do you stop them. Why must I lose my truck to take action against this company. This company stated with putting fasle info on my credit report . Apparently Pelican auto sould my account with a $1500 balance and Westlake took over without any contact from either company.
Until a repo men came to my house trying to threaten and intemidate me for money or my truck. But had no paperwork what so ever. I finally got them to leave , I went to Pelicans website because none of their numbers were working, and that's how I found out my account was now with Westlake. So I contacted them and was trying to figure out what was going on and all they wanted was a payment.
They wouldn't offer any type of documentation that they have taken over my account. Just money. Why must I lose my vehicle after all this time and money to resolve the issue with them. They have been sued many times for fraudulent activity and still continue. What do I need to do ??

I have been in contact with you multiple times and you still refused any type of help. I still have yet to receive any documents about this loan that you all doubled. A payment history is not a contract. And if you had the documents on this loan you would know that the balance is incorrect and your interest rates are not the same. Also it's against the law to report false information on credit report . You had already had my account showing behind and owing a total different amount. The first day that you all supposedly took over my loan. Like I said still practicing fraudulent activity. You would think all the times you have been sued and had judgements ordered, Someone would learn. Why can't you just do your job. Make loans and take payments !! REALLY

I work everyday and have always been good on payment. I was not behind at the point where Westlake took over my loan and fraudulently charges , increased interest rate, and changed the whole contract without notice. I had my payment set for auto pay. So I know they were they were paid. But Westlake financial denied receiveing even though I have bank records.
They had sent the repo company for some supposed late charges. And still have not received any documents for my account with Westlake. They wanted me to agree to sign new contract and I refused. I work hard for my money and I will not let some one fraudulently take money they are not owed. Besides the fact that Westlake financial services has been sued an charged multiple times for their fraudulent activities.

It isn't "Predatory" or "Fraudulent" to attempt to hold a borrower to the terms they agreed to. It doesn't matter if you owe $15,000 or $0.15 until the balance is zero, a lender can legally reposess their car. Repo men do not show up to take your car if you are making timely payments, so why were they there?
If as you claim you had no idea that the loan was transfered you must have been still trying to pay the other company...right?
Was the first company still cashing your payments? If so this is probably the only valid complaint you could have and you would need to deal with Westlake to prove your payments. But if your payments were getting rejected this falls on you. As if you reviewed your bank account you should have realized that your balance was higher than it should have been as a car payment is perhaps the 2nd biggest monthly deduction you would have next to housing. Of course if you weren't making payments, then it doesn't matter who has the account and you are just trying to use that as an excuse.
So what is the full story here.

It's THEIR loan and they can sell it if they want to anyone and you have no say in the matter. You were repo'ed ONLY because YOU failed to make on time payments. The only "fraud" here is YOU not doing what YOU promised to do when YOU AGREED to the terms of the contract.
They have not been sued multiple times for fraud. By contrast, they have repo'ed and sued many of you serial deadbeats because you STILL won't pay your bills on time and no, I don't work for them!
