BOUGHT EYEGLASSES IN AUG.2007, TOP OF LEFT LENS BROKE IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS.. SENT IN FOR REPAIR AND ABOUT 10 OR 11 WEEKS LATER SAME LENS BROKE IN THE VERY SAME PLACE.. CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SPOKE WITH A PERSON ONLY NAMED CHRIS WHO TOLD ME HE DID NOT HAVE TO GIVE ME HIS LAST NAME AS THAT WAS PRIVATE AND THAT NO LAW REQUIRED HIM TO GIVE ME ANY MORE INFORMATION. I ASK TO SPEAK TO HIS SUPERVSIOR AFTER HE TOLD ME THAT THE GLASSES WERE NOT WARRANTIED AGAINST THE LENS BREAKING (ALTHOUGH I THINK THAT THE LENS WAS MISDRILLED TO CLOSE TO THE EDGE). HE DID SAY THAT HE WOULD REMAKE THE SAME GLASSES AT A 25% DISCOUNT BUT NOT A DIFFERENT PAIR.

BUT I ASK HIM IF HE WENT INTO A RESTAURANT AND BOUGHT A SPOLIED HAMBURGER AND THE RESTAURANT TOLD HIM TO COME BACK AND GET A FREE HAMBURGER (AS IN THE 1ST REPLACEMENT) AND SECOND HAMBURGER WAS ALSO SPOILED.. AND THEY SAID WELL TRY 1 MORE TO SEE IF ITS SPOILED ALSO AND I WILL GIVE YOU A 25% DISCOUNT, WOULD HE TRY IT A 3RD TIME AND HE SAID NO BUT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT EYEGLASSES AND NOT HAMBURGERS.

ALL I ASK WAS THAT HE GIVE ME A REASONABLE DISCOUNT ON A DIFFERENT TYPE OF FRAME WITHOUT RIMLESS GLASSES AND HE SAID NO AND THAT IF I DIDN'T LIKE THEIR POLICES THEN JUST DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... I KEPT ASKING TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE HIGHER THAN HIM AND HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME A NAME/NUMBER OR HIS LAST NAME!!!! ( PS.I HAVE WORN RIMLESS GLASSES FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS AND HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH BREAKAGE SO ITS OBVIOUS THAT I KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS TYPE OF GLASSES WITHOUT BREAKING THEM .. AS HE INDICATED IT WAS MY FAULT BECAUSE THEY HAD TO BE HANDLED WITH GREAT CARE!!! )
