I placed my order for the NetTALK Duo on August 30th, 2010. I decided to go with another company, and promptly called to cancel my order before it shipped. I spoke with a customer service representative on September 3rd, 2010 and she had told me that in 7-10 business days, I would be refunded. I waited until the 10th busness day (September 17th) and I was still not refunded. I then called their customer service line once again on September 17th, 2010 and spoke with "Alex" employee number "13" and explained my situation. He said he was unsure why I was not refunded, and would put in a refund request to "upper management", and that I would then have my refund in three working days. Today, September 22nd, 2010, is the third working day and I still have not received my refund. I called once again and spoke with "Skyler" employee number "8055" and he told me that "Alex" only made a "request" for management to look into this, but not process my refund. Skyler then put in another "request" for a refund and told me it would be taken care of "immediatley". I then requested to speak with a supervisor for reassurance and ask for an explanation, and was put on hold. I was then connected to "Mary" employee number "8048" and once again explained my situation and asked for an explanation as to why I still have not received my refund. Mary began to tell me that she did not have an excuse for why I have not been rufunded, and I must wait another 7-10 business days for my refund. I explained to her once again that I've already waited a total of 13 business days, and it still has not happened. I then asked if I could speak directly to the upper management and get this sorted once and for all, and she said that would not be possible.
I contacted my financial institution today and let them know what this company has done to me. All I want is my refund, and I'm getting sick and tired of the runaround. This is the perfect example of a company trying to scam you as they convienantly continue to tell me to wait for my refund and it never gets processed. BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!

Just wanted to give an update on my situation. As of 9/24/2010 NetTALK FINALLY processed my refund. I'm still appalled at how they initially handled my refund, but I'm glad that I was finally able to get my money back.

I can't say I had a similar issue with nettalk regarding funding but from what I've seen so far their staff is very helpful. I did not have a refunding issue, but I did have a device issue. Immediately I also seeked a refund but during the process, I figured I may as well try to solve my dead unit. I owned a TK6000 for about a month at the time (close to where they say the trial period ends) and it seemed like I already passed my margin of getting my money back. Understandably at the time I was completely frustrated at the fact that I had probably lost $100 in a now non-working device. I called the techs up to try to get the unit up and running and surprisingly they helped me greatly. Although the original unit was dead in the water, they helped me expedite the exchange process. For nettalk, it seems you have to send in the unit, and wait to recieve the new one (huge problem for me since I canceled my old line). Anyway, I was transfered to one of the supervisors there and they send me a unit straight from their headquarters so that I didn't have to wait (2 day air). Once I got my new unit my problems went away, and on top of that they gave me $10 international call credit (which is really good of them considering I must of broken a couple of their tech's ears with all the yelling and whatnot). So the bottom line at least in my case is that I went in furiously and came out overall happy about the whole thing. They have to work on their exchange and refund process but I believe if you talk to the right guys they might help you better. Actually, call the techs! Even if they don't handle all that return stuff they may be able to get you the right people to talk too. Wish you the best of luck and pains me that you had to go through all this, I know it is a huge pain when things go south.
