I bought a leather sofa and a leather recliner from Rooms To Go furniture store. They talked me into getting the leather pieces sprayed with ForceField Leather Cleaner& Conditioner. That was okay but,John the salesman said... This stuff cost(50.00)per bottle, now this is a 4 fl.oz bottle. I E-mailed force field and they told me where to get it. They said it would cost three to four dollars per bottle. Not 50.00.
Room To Go said they sprayed our furniture but, our chair had plastic on the recliner part you rest your leggs on. There was no way they could have sprayed that part. I had to remove the plastic and spray it myself! In my book they are big fat liars!!
Plus the furniture they sell is not that well built. I will never buy from them again.

Ok if rooms to go pursued any of the false acusations I see everyday on these postings for slander or defimation of character they could stop selling furniture and live off the settlements. People like this are driving up the cost of buisness. Your quick temper and fast accusations have caused would be consumers for them to not make a purchase. This results in lost profit. Lost profit means that the prices will eventually go up and steadily increase to make up for the losses that each of these false accusations creates.
Bottom line if you are unclear ask the question before making the purchase. Be intelligent at least a little if at all possible and reasearch and understand all that is going on. Most every furniture company does the same thing with the treatment. They all have some product line treatment that they sell and give a free refill or retreat policy. You think if the stuff cost $3 - $8 per bottle they will sell it for that? no they are gauranteeing it for a length of time. they base there fee on an average of cost per person. the average only costs them like say (for example purposses only) $35 per person on average so they make $20 on the sell of that treatment. Average means some people may use $5 and some $60 but the average is were they base there figure to make money. buisnesses are in buissness to make money not to give out free stuff.
If you don't like the deal negotiate a better one or go some where else and stop causeing undeserved back lash against good companies.
P.S. K - Greensboro, Oklahoma is dead on the money about this fact, and as far as not doing business with RTG anymore, fine go pay double somewhere else, but read the complaint pages on them they are all the same.
Mostly filled with stupid wrong complaints like yours.

you must have misunderstood your salesman

Either you misunderstood "John" or your story doesn't ring true.
Yes we offer "force field" treatment for leather furniture. In actuality it is a Dupont Teflon application that is bonded to the surface of the leather and costs $59.99 to treat a sofa. After the Teflon is applied, the furniture is then repackaged for delivery.
Rooms To Go provides the appropriate cleaner and conditioner to the customers who opt to purchase the treatment AT NO COST for as long as they own their furniture (it comes in a brown and white bottle). We do not charge $50.00 per bottle as you maintain...it is FREE. Yes you can purchase the cleaner/conditioner elsewhere for between $3.00 and $8.00 per bottle, but you get as much as you need for as long as you need for FREE!
Also, Rooms To Go does not use a third party warranty company like most other furniture stores. This means that there is no chance that either the customer or the store will be caught in the middle by a decision made by a company with nothing to lose by denying your claim.
Think about the value of what you are getting for nothing...clarify what you misunderstand...and then tell me that you got ripped off.
