General Steel Misled me to believe that an architect would not be required & that General Steel would deal with local planning commissions, etc. in regard to an existing building addition. They took $20,000 advanc Lakewood, Colorado

I wanted to add a 3300 sq. ft. additional onto my commercial building in downtown Battle Ground, WA & called General Steel pursuant to TV advertisement.  When asking about the feasibility of utilizing their services on this project, I was told that General Steel could plan & shepard the project thru local zoning & building code processes & that an architect would not be required & that they would put me in touch with a local contractor who was familiar with their product.  After advancing them $20,000 & before any actual services from them, the local planning officials told me that they would not approve Genral Steel's approach, that an architect & local engineering reports would be required.  Also there was no contact by any local contractor working with General Steel.   When I explained the local officials shoot-down of their concept & asked for a return of down payment they cut off communication with them.  When I later told them I would like to apply the $20,000 to a prefab farm outbuilding on a rural site, they would not even reply back as promised.
