An agent of Cynergy Health returned my call, but refused to provide answers to questions about what coverage was provided. He asked me to visit the website cynergyhealth.com to find those answers instead. That site gives a "domain disabled" error. However, synergyhealth.com does work, and mentions Cynergy Health on that page, along with other discount health-care providers.
Synergyhealth.com does not provide information about what is covered as the agent claimed. It merely asks for the very same information that the agent already has about me, not with a single form, but with multiple forms each of which might lead to a different result. It appears that the site is merely a funnel to other sites, and that Cynergy Health does not sell insurance.
Cynergy Health as advertized on TV at (800) 475-2184 at $241 per month for individual coverage might be able to save me $100 per month while offering practically no coverage. However, I cannot verify that at the web site, and the agent refuses to send paper information. He says that this is how they save money. The agent cannot provide a street address of the company. The agent refers me to the website; the website refers me to an agent. The agent's telephone number is (866) 518-7526. I choose not to give his first name or telephone extension.
I am getting the run-around.

To be fair, in that report, the $50 extra was a one-time application fee, which was made clear to me by the agent, and the double billing may have been an accident which a simple call to the man's credit card service could have removed.
I refuse to pay for something sight unseen.

Gene, we at Cinergy Health do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced in trying to obtain information regarding our membership and insurance plans. However, our investigation of your situation during your initial sales call has revealed that the agent of Cinergy Health did not give you the run around and did not refuse to provide answers to your questions. You stated in the call that you wanted to pull out your wife's current policy and go "point by point" and compare it to our Cinergy Health plan. At which point, the agent of Cinergy Health informed you that our insurance plans were located on our website, www.CinergyHealth.com and that it may be easier to compare it that way and then call back with any questions. You responded, "Ohhh, well then, just give me a web address." The agent informed you to go to www.CinergyHealth.com, and you responded that "it never occurred to me to try www.CinergyHealth.com." The agent of Cinergy Health then gave you his direct phone number and extension and you said you would review it and call him back. As for your claim that the agent of Cinergy Health can not provide you with a street address of the company, our investigation has revealed that you didn't ask for it, and further, it is clearly revealed on our website, www.CinergyHealth.com.
We also apologize that you have mistakenly entered the wrong web address in your attempt to locate our membership and insurance information online. The correct web address is www.CinergyHealth.com. From your complaint, it appears that you thought the company was spelled "Cynergy", and that you thought the website was spelled "synergy". Please understand that we are not affiliated with the websites that you have mentioned, and we have been made aware that there are several websites currently posting information in an attempt to fool people that they are affiliated with Cinergy Health. Thus, any forms you filled out on these webpages are not maintained nor authorized by Cinergy Health. This type of activity is a growing concern for Cinergy Heath, its members, and for people wishing to gain the correct information regarding our membership and insurance plans. Therefore, Cinergy Health is aggressively attempting to remove other company's illegal advertising from any and all internet webpages and links.
We sincerely hope that this rectifies any ongoing complaints that you have.
