CITYSEARCH False Information, StrongArm Tactics, Misrepresentation Internet

Citysearch has asked me to join their marketing program multiple times and list my dental practice with them. I refused after speaking with multiple individuals who repeated what many people have stated here. They falsify information, mislead you as to how many hits you are getting and refuse to remove derogatory or inflammatory reviews. After refusing Citysearch's multiple offers, they have placed an ad for my practice without my permission claiming they got the info from a national data base. All email requests to remove it are ignored. Their customer service number disconnects you if you are not a paying customer with a client number. There is no phone number for non paying companies who have had a listing created. A patient listed an inaccurate review and they refuse to remove it after multiple email requests. After threatening legal action, I received a call stating that if I was a paying member I could ask for the review to be removed. That is extortion. They posted information about my business that is incorrect thereby damaging my business reputation and scaring off potential clients and refuse to correct it unless I pay them. When I asked if a review could be removed by a poster, I was told that the reviews can NEVER be removed by posters only CitySearch so even appealing to the lying patient would not help. Apparently they can only be edited in content but never removed. How this comapny can be allowed to do this is beyond me.
