I have asked htis company for help for services, i got my accont at my bank broken into and they frozxe the account so nobody could take anything from it, so of course the shut off plan that i was on had 2 checks returned, so now they wont take money from me, no checks nothing, took me off the shut off plan when my bank told them what had happended, they dont care, they didnt bounce the bank sent them back with the information with it so they knew what happene, they still didnt care so i got numerous disconects from this? I have a disabliity and they do not care about this, they will shut my service off first, i am so sick of them, they dont need to be doing this, it is so ridiculous and disriminating agist me for this when this was not my fault? i called them to tell them about this and they said not there problem, we will not take payments from you anymore since your checks came basck to us non payable? wtf, wow my bank told them what happened and they are treating me like a criminal here, so yes they wont let me have an online acvcount, they wont let me pay my bill, wont let me be ont he shut off plan, wont let me be on the budget plan or make any sort of arrangements with me to pay the bill, this is just so nice of them to do this? can you please help me??? this is so ridiculous when it is not my fault but they dont care, they just want your money and they will jack up your prices every month too. thanks for nothing..,. consumers energy sucks and i wish i could go someone where else instead of using them.

Sounds like you've had payment problems with them before.

The company has an obligation to their share owners to keep accounts current, it isn't any part of their decision making process to make allowances for chronically late payments or disabilities.
Nor is it discrimination to do so.

I doubt any other company would want you as a customer, with your apparent poor payment history.
It's possible the company would have worked with you if your record hadn't been bad...it's truly not their fault.
NO Ripoff here.
