I fought with Dell to get my computer fixed for 3 months, the first time Dell had my computer it was under warranty the technician decided not to fix my computer and made up a bogus excuse. I contacted Dell and they told me to send the computer back to the repair center a 2ND time. I received the computer back unrepaired again with the excuse that it was a biohazard. I know a little about repairing computers, so I opened my laptop and found nothing inside. By this time my laptop was out of warranty, I stopped making payments on my account and called again and again I was told to send it back. I am still fighting with Dell to remove the late charges from my account. I don't think I should have to pay for Dell's creative imagination. The third time the Dell repair center had my computer they only replaced the mother board the rest of the parts that I needed replaced they didn't touch so my computer is still not completely fixed like it needed to be. I even tried to get them to send me a new mother board and other parts I needed and I would repair my computer, the tech. support tech. refused to do that. So I will continue to calculate the interest on 3 months of late fees and the $117.00 and any other charges that Dell decides to add to my account for the remainder of the time it takes me to pay off my computer. I will also go to the BBB and file a report with them. DON'T BUY A DELL COMPUTER. The company has terrible customer service and there tech. support is not worth a penny. You can't understand very many of them, they very seldom make any sense because they are all overseas somewhere, and English is a second language for them. Dell Financial Services is in the business of stealing money from the very people that keep them in business in the first place.

What was the "bogus" excuse that they gave when they didn't fix it the first time?

What is wrong with the computer. You said that you wanted them to send you another motherboard and other parts to fix your computer. What other parts did you need?

By the way the late fees and interest, and any credit damage done, is all on you. You can't just get out of your agreement because something no longer works. Dell Credit is no different than using other credit cards such as a Visa or MasterCard. Had you used a VISA and stopped paying on that, they would do the same thing.

What was broken?

You don't say what was wrong with your computer.

Warranties only cover defective parts. They don't cover software, or specific type of damages done to the computer.

You could have a problem that is not covered in the warranty.

Anyhow, that does not free you from your contract. Just because your computer is not working properly, does not free you from the payments and interest. You shuold still pay on time and in full while you are trying to get this issue worked out. You will only end up causing yourself more problems if you don't.
