Todate I closed my dell account and below is my story on WHY- Sept 11 05 I contact dell tech support and it was explained to me and a dell customer service rep promised it. That the issue with my computer would be 100% correct and resolved by a dell tech via over the phone. quoted $100+ for this over the phone dell tech support to correct the system restore error on my dell computer system..
So I was contact to a dell tech rep and after 30 mins into the session, the dell tech omitted that he would NOT be able to correct the system restore feature on my system. That I would have to have someone reformat my hard drive to correct this issue. it was explained to me by the dell tech rep that due that he was unable to correct this issue that he would put a FULL refund back to my dell account.
On 9- 14 I was contacted by a dell customer care rep to follow up that there would a FULL refund on my next OCT 2005 bill for the tech service. On my Oct bill there was NO refund so I once again called dell customer care on Oct 28 2005. Once again I was told that I would get a FULL refund now on my NOV bill and I got a confirmation num It has been over 3 months now from Sept 11- Dec 1 and todate I still DO NOT have this FULL refund on my Dec bill.
I WOULD NEVER BUY A DELL OR RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE TO DO SO IN THE NEAR FUTURE FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
1) U GET THE RUN AROUND ON THE PHONE WHY U TRY TO GET CONNECTED TO A REAL LIVE PERSON
2) IF U ARE LUCKY TO GET A REAL LIVE PERSON
A) EITHER THE PERSON IS SOMEWHERE OVER SEAS
B) CANT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND US ENGLISH
C) IF THEY CAN SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH THEY DON'T OR CANT HELP U
3) IF U DO GET A HOLD OF A REAL WHAT THEY CALL A DELL CUSTOMER CARE REP- THEY PUT U ON HOLD FOR 20-30 MINS THEN THEY TELL U THEY CANT HELP U AND WANT TO TRANSFER THE CALL TO SOMEONE ELSE- ANOTHER 20-30 WAIT ON HOLD.
PAID FOR DELL TECH SUPPORT $100- DELL STATED 100% THAT THEY COULD FIX THE COMPUTER PROBLEM VIA PHONE. 20 MINS LATER DELL TECH STATES HE COULDN'T CORRECT THE ISSUE AND WOULD REFUND THE FULL TECH SUPPORT AMT $100+. HAVE SEVERAL REF NUMS FOR THE $100 CREDIT BUT STILL NO CREDIT ISSUED. HAVE HAD SEVERAL DELL REPS CALL ME ABOUT THE CREDIT W A PROMISE IT WOULD SHOW UP ON MY BILL.
THAT WAS BACK ON SEPT 10 2005- I HAVE HAD TO SPEND OVER 3.5 HRS AND 15 PHONE CALLS IN A 3 MONTH PERIOD TO TRY TO CORRECT THIS REFUND ON MY BILL
TODATE 3 MONTHS LATER DELL STILL HASN'T CORRECT THE BILLING ISSUE SO I RESOLVED THIS ISSUE MYSELF AND CLOSED MY DELL ACCT AND WILL NOT PAY ONE DIME UNTIL SOMEONE AT DELL WANTS TO GIVE ME RESPECT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT EVERYONE SHOULD GET.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO BY A DELL UNTIL DELL MOVES THERE SO CALLED DELL CUSTOMER CARE BACK TO THE UNITED STATED OF AMERICA SO PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF CAN GET ISSUES RESOLVED AND NOT SCREWED AROUND FOR 3 MONTHS.
