This company is such a scam. when i called to order the warranty I asked about specific things, drive train, oil leaks and heat. The sales person promised those were covered. I was excited being a was a single women at the time and needed a warranty to save my car from breaking down. I gave the sales person the miles on my car and he guarenteed that this would all be covered. He even said he would break my payments up and I would have no deductable so zero cost to me if anything needed to be fixed.

the advertisment on the web site says 30 days guarenteed or your money back.....of course because you are not allowed to file a claim till AFTER 30 days. when I did bring my car in, the auto shop had a hard time getting in touch from the direct buy warranty company. When the adjuster came they denied fixing everything but a water pump. the owner of the mechanic shop said he was surprised because the things needing to be fixed were legit.

When the mechanic got the details for a water pump, the mechanic suggested I not use it because he said it may have been used and there were not guarentees to it.  The owner of the mechanic shop saved the info for direct buy and suggested I  cancel it right away suggesting it was a scam. he saved the info to alert other customers never to buy this warranty. he said it was the worst he had ever tryed to use. They covered nothing that legitamatly should have been covered and I was told would be covered.

their excuse was normal wear for everything. Meaning that was their loop hole to cover nothing. They knew the miles on my car when  I asked about specifics. Please PLEASE. I have never wrote a negative comment about a company before but I felt very strongly to help some one else save their money.  PLEAE DO NOT GO WITH DIRECT BUY WARRANTY!!!! THIS IS  A SCAM!!! I cancelled my membership after 60 days and got half my money back.

I was not going to respond but after reading this report I felt I had to. I have no affiliation with Direc Buy but I used to handle claims through an Insurance company whom offered extended warranties.

When someone calls in to purchase a policy and ask if SPECIFIC items are covered, they most likey already have issues with those components. It would be different if you asked, " Is the Transmission covered" or "Is the Engine covered". You did not though. You asked specifically if Oil Leaks and the Heat was covered. I am sure when you were discussing the policy you were asked if anything was wrong. You had to have said everything was running great or they would not of provided you with a policy.

The reason why most companies require a traditional 30 days and 1,000 miles waiting period is for this reason exactly. To make sure those trying to purchase the policy FRAUDULENTLY. It appears in your situation you purchased the policy, asked if SPECIFIC items were covered, then exactly 30 days later, those exact items were needing repair. Also, not just one of those specific items you asked if was covered, but 3 specific items you asked if were covered. You must admit, that is one heck of a coincidence.

If insurance companies paid for everyone's vehicles that were already broken down when they bought a policy, they wouldn't last a month in business. It is very important to stop those attempting to defraud these insurance companies. When claims like these are paid, the premium for those trying to obtain a policy ethically, will end up paying for these mishonest claims through higher premiums.

Again, I am not judging anyone here, but when I see someone post negative report about a company that did everything right, someone should stand up to keep some kind of integrity throughout the internet. I see Direct Buy has several complaints on this site which they may have earned, unfortuantly, this complaint is nothing near legitimate. This is a complaint from someone trying to pull one over on a company but did not prevail and decided to post a wreckless and irresponsible post.

I appreciate you taking the time to listen and hope this feedback is helpful in any way.
