EAGLE TRANSMISSION ripoff Warranty misrepresentation GRAND PRAIRIE Texas

My transmission quit working with 5 days still left on the warranty. The warranty states it covers parts and labor for 12 months so I should still be covered at no additional cost.

Eagle Transmission claims the warranty is void because I've been driving it underwater! This is pure bull!

I went to examine the parts and what they showed me was a water soluble seal broken into many pieces that they claim leaked and allowed water to get inside the transmission. They claim this is the reason for water being inside the tranny.

The only problem with their story is that the seal didn't look the LEAST bit dissolved! The seal was broken up with jagged edges cause they had obviously broken it up themselves! Their story doesn't hold water!

During the initial repair 1 year ago, I was informed that the radiator wasn't cooling the transmission properly and so they installed a cooler which bypassed the radiator. It's more likely that they left water inside from the radiator problem at that time, or the cooler was installed improperly.

They claim to be giving me a break by charging me only for parts, which comes to $650.00. I want my truck back and grudgingly agreed to pay the amount but only if I get a new warranty. The manager stated he would see about giving me a 6 month warranty since this time around is for parts only.

But I shouldn't have to pay anything again! I haven't driven my truck underwater! The truck will supposedly be ready tomorrow so I would appreciate a quick response before having to pay anything.
