I had the very same experience as many others have -- Suzie came to my home, was very sweet, and said it would cost me a little over $24k to move my stuff and another $289 for complete packing service.
"What a deal!!" I thought. I signed up for both. I had lower bids, but she said the price was binding, so they couldn't charge me more than I'd estimated. On the day of the move, they showed up and said she estimated it at 680 cubic feet, but I actually had 800 cubic feet. Also, the packing was going to cost me more -- even though I had already purchased $100+ worth of boxes (I had some left over) and packed half the stuff already!!
The upshot was, I had to leave a lot of stuff behind -- all my lawn furniture, cross-cut shredder, 2 six-foot bookshelves, a grandfather clock my father made for me, and various other items. On top of that, they missed a bunch of other stuff in closets and drawers! They showed up with 7 guys, but only about 3 of them ever did anything of consequence.
The only thing I can say in their behalf is that they seemed to blanket and wrap my furniture well -- we'll see when it actually arrives at the other destination.
On top of everything, in moving a file cabinet, they put a HUGE hole in my apartment wall -- If I hadn't gone back there to make sure they got everything from that room, I would have never known -- none of them owned up to it, but the foreman did take a picture of it.
If they deliver my belongings on time and in good condition, I may update this report to be more positive -- but only then.
DON'T EVER use this company!!!

Frustrated, movers have protection in the courts from consumers pursuing additional liability over and above that which was agreed to between the moving company and the consumer. Most scam moving companies offer valuation at $0.60 per pound, which means your $1000 HDTV weighing 50 lbs would be settled with the moving company at $30, and the consumer has no recourse in such a situation.
The options in small claims relate to the possibility of enforcing the contract for the original stated price, BUT there are generally restrictions. For example, you may have to file within the state the moving company is located, which in this case is Las Vegas. So if you happen to be located in another state, you would be prohibited from filing small claims in that state. Most scam moving companies have this figured out and the consumer is well advised to go with a moving company located near their home and to choose a well-known company that WILL send an individual to your home to see what needs to be moved. It may cost more upfront, BUT it is cheaper in the long run as this consumer has found out.
Any mover who tells you to fill out an inventory sheet should be disregarded immediately. Best of luck to you.

I was wanting to know if you or any of the past dissatisfied consumers have filed any claims with a small claims court? Or received any monies for the damages, theft or trouble that this company has cause your families?

Lots of complaints on the internet for late delivery and lots of damage for Elite. I mean these guys are pretty bad..... I hope things turn out well, but what I just read would make me upset.
