Garmin has purchcased Navigon. I have a NAVIGON 2100 GPS unit that has stopped working. I sent emails and called Garmin technical support about how to get my Navigon GPS repaired. Their response was that they don't repair Navigon GPSs. For $99, they would provide me a similar GPS if I would send them my old Navigon. The Garmin unit does not have free lifetime traffic updates, free lifetime map updates and free Zagart that I have on my Navigon. I have about $300 in my Navigon GPS. I paid for free lifetime traffic updates, free lifetime map updates and Zagart. How can I get my free lifetime updates if my Navigon will not work? How long is lifetime? I have had my Navigon for 2 and 1/2 years and it has worked well. It just stopped working on 11/13/11. I like the Navigon but Garmin will not repair it and they want me to send them my old Navigon (worth over $300) and $99 to get a Garmin GPS that does not have the lifetime features my Navigon does. So, I send them my Navigon and $99. I am out about $400 and then have to pay to get lifetime services from Garmin.

This seems like a ripoff to me!
