initial quote for the labor was 159.16 the other manager overwrite it and when my car was under repair he increased it to 650.20 and told me to pay initially few weeks back i did my brakes jobs done and after few days of installation the brakes were making noise so i went back and they checked in and said its under warranty and we can replace the pads for free. at the same time i asked them for the quotes to replace the front shock and wheel bearing and the manager provided me the quote, which was way too much for the parts and labor. so i asked him what if i provide my own parts and he said he can give me a good deal on labor if i can bring my own parts. i order the parts online and i went back to the same place after a week or so and before i told them to start the service i asked him about the complete labor charges and we got settled for 159.16 after tax and all to replace both of the front speedy shocks and to replace the wheel bearing. he took my sign before started the work. they didnt have any certified mechanic on duty and they started working on my van but they wanted to charge customer by book. they were having a hard time finding the socket to open my axle nut and it took them more than 4 hours to locate the socket. after removing the axle socket the way they took the bearing out they messed up mu hub and now they wanted me to buy a new hub. which costs about $25 online but the other manager wanted to charge me $125 for the hub. i didn't have any option but to buy the hub as the car was sitting there. i told him its okay i will get the hub from there and they ordered the hub which the advance auto parts provided them the wrong one. the inexperienced mechanic started to put it together without even checking the hub that if its right or not. he pushed the bearing in and all and after that he was struggling to put it back to the wheel. after few minutes the person who ordered the hub realized that they gave him the wrong hub and since it was sunday the supplier closed now so i have to wait till the next day. its very dishonest place to begin with and no wonder they dont have any business. i supposed to get charged the initial labor quoted 159.16 plus the 125 plus tax for the parts, so it shouldn't be more than 300 but the manager who manipulated the previous quote and overwrite the quote provided to me in computer since the other manager who gave me initial quote was not there. he charged me 650.20 for the part and labor and he threatened me that in order to get the car out of the shop i had to pay that so i did as i dont wanted to mess up over there. all i want it my refund back. i am going to contact my credit card service to stop the payment as well.
