Legal Mediation Practice Rude Abusive & Breaking the law Jacksonville Florida

I received a voice mail from a Mr. Randy West on my home phone this morning telling me that his client has decided to take action against me and left his number for me to call back. He stated that if he was not available I could speak with one of his associates. So I called the number he left and asked to speak to Mr. Randy West. I was placed on hold and a woman named Kelly at extension 276 picked up the phone. I explained to her that I was returning a call left my Randy West. She started getting extremely rude and telling me that I was in direct violation of the law and PayDayYes (an internet payday loan company) has decided to press 2 formal complaints on criminal charges against me for willful intent and a bad check. She stated that I had until 4:00 this afternoon to send them $662.50 either by credit card over the phone or MoneyGram. I told her that I DID NOT take out this loan and that I needed to make some phone calls first. I asked her for a fax number which she gave me. She said that if I did not pay this money before 4:00 this afternoon then enforcement would be taken. I played dumb and asked her what she meant by enforcement. She said really rude "you don't know what enforcement means?" I again asked her what she meant. She stated that my local law enforcement would come by my house and my work to arrest me on these criminal charges. I then typed up a letter stating that they were a collection agency and not any kind of law firm, they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and were completely illegal in threatening to have me arrested for one a debt and two for a debt that was not mine. I stated in the letter that they are to have no further contact with me via telephone and since they have my mailing address in a case file all communication must be sent to me via United States Postal Service. I also stated in the letter that I have filed formal complaints with the Florida Attorney General's office, The FBI and the Federal Trade Commission. I faxed that to the fax number Kelly gave me when I talked to her. I have not had anymore calls from them. I also contacted my local sheriff's department because the company I work for deals with local law enforcement every single day with their radios... The investigator that I spoke with said to ignore them and that law enforcement was not going to come after anyone for a debt which I already knew. This company needs to not only be sued by the people they are harassing and illegally threatening but they need to be shut downn.
