I wish I had checked these guys out before I got mixed up with them. What Dirt Bags! Judging from what I've read it looks like I have a long battle on my hands (mine has just begun). If anyone is doing a class action count me in. from what I've read they have allready been sued by Illinois and lost, but I was a little late to the party. From what else I have read they will not work with the housing councilors as well. It is a testimate to their slimey kind that none of their Attourneys have logged on hear to rebut. I would guess that I can kiss my 40K equity good-bye! If I end up lossing they better not dare come to me for more! They would have allready taken the 40K. I have the house up for sale, but after these other stories it sounds like they won't let me sell it. Don't I still have the right to sell my home, or have these arses taken that from me too? I'll post as things heat up.

YOU DONT HAVE TO BE DELINQUENT WITH SAXON TO HAVE ISSUES

AUTHOR: Johnny - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 13, 2008

These comments are well and good, but having my mortgage purchased by SAXON last November from NovaStar, my payments are currently up to date, never been late, even though my mortgage adjusted up nearly $1000/month in December.

The problem with SAXON is that they can't get their billing department to figure out the 100,000 loans they purchased from NovaStar...so they are billing us for whatever they want and not crediting our payments to our accounts...rather holding them in a suspense account. My loan shows that I am 72 days delinquent, I have received 2 notices of forclosure, and after daily phone calls to their loss mitigation department and certified letters (cc'd to the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission) still nothing has been done.

Every time I have attempted to contact SAXON I talk to a different representative, am treated like a CRIMINAL, and get nowhere.

I understand the frustration here. Everyone's situation is different, but what we all seem to have in common here is that it is impossible to get any resolution at all. There has got to be some governmental agency that SAXON is held accountable to.

SAXON does not want our houses back, and we all want to keep them along with our good credit, good name/reputation etc. I am a single dad of two awesome children that gets no help from anyone. Is SAXON going to kick us to the street even though I have met my financial obligations? The thought of that has been overwhelming.

Best of luck to everyone.

I'm tired of being called irresponsible too

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 02, 2008

I agree with you Chuck, for one reason or another, some of us do fall behind in mortgage payments. My mortgage with Saxon is on a rental and I had my renters move out so I was trying to pay two mortgages. I worked diligently with Saxon to resolve all outstanding past due balances and was in constant contact with Saxon. Never once did I try to avoid contact with them or to "shirk" my responsibility. They have jerked me around for three months and now say that my repayment plan was broken, then reinstated and now broken again when I did everything I was supposed to do. Now, they say I owe $4000 plus additional attorneys' fees. You would think, given the current foreclosure status in the US, they would work with those of us who are working to save our homes and doing everything we can to bring our accounts current. They are greedy basta*ds.

Good luck to anyone who has a mortgage with Saxon Mortgage. I too am upset my financial institution sold my mortgage to Saxon. I have had nothing but trouble ever since.

Ya know I'm am tired of you calling me irresponsible

AUTHOR: Chuck - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 21, 2007

Baby Girl,

Yes I did see that you said you don't know my situation, but that didn't keep you from reprimanding me or implying that I am irresponsible, now you are saying I am not an adult. Just who took the first shot? I am a very passionate person and will speak my mind. If I feel I am being attacked as I felt with your response I will not stand there and take it. No I don't deal with people in business exactly the way I may on these blogs, but I will also not stand by and let them push me around. My business ethics and morality put my job as Building Official in jeopardy. If I had been released w/o a job to go to how much worse would my situation be. Letting that happen would be IRRESPONSIBLE.

Like I have said before I have made MANY attempts to come to some solution to this with Saxon. My taxes are paid for the year, and so is my insurance. All I have asked them is to modify my loan into an interest only so I can float this boat until it sells, but Saxon has yet to discuss this with me after repeated attempts to do so ( I have the recorded conversations and e-mails to prove it, all professional and business like). I have faxed and certified mailed them all the information they asked for months ago, before I was even late on one payment, because I knew that it would only be a matter of time until I couldn't. I have faith, but I still prefer to plan for the worst case, and that is why I tried to start the process with them early.

If you read these other peoples stories here and on other sites you will see a pattern of how Saxon chooses to deal with people.

Yes I know about finding other jobs, I have done that before and am trying again. My wife subs for 6 school districts and also works a part time job. My primary job is 2 hours away from home which doesn't leave me allot of options for part time work, and with 3 kids at home there are plenty of other responsibilities we need to attend to as well.

Refinancing is not an option, tried that. No one wants to refinance a home that someone is planning on selling. I could lie to them but that wouldn't be ethical. As I mentioned before in my 30 year credit history I have never had a bankruptcy, foreclosure, or credit counseling, even after my divorce, and suffering work injury (35 foot fall) and being on disability (employer not Government) and dealing with that nightmare. I went back to school passed 5 inspection certification tests in 3 months, found a job and went back to work. It's real easy to stand on the outside and judge a person's character, I've done it as many others have as well, but after getting thru the difficult times in my life that I have had I am much less likely to question a persons character, pass judgment on their decisions, or accuse them of being irresponsible until I know the whole story.

Yes, I have passed judgment on Saxon Mortgage, but that is only having to deal with them personally. Baby Girl, do you work in the mortgage industry, just curious?

Perhaps an adult response would help you

AUTHOR: Baby Girl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 20, 2007

First off, I clearly stated that I was not aware of what your situation was when I made my response.

Secondly, there is no reason to swear/imply swearing in your response. If you deal with the people at Saxon the way you behave here, I can clearly see why you're getting no where.

You have options in front of you. Continue to work with Saxon for a forbearance agreement. The bank DOES NOT want your home. They're looking for the money you borrowed. Banks are willing to work with the borrowers to prevent foreclosures as it costs them more to bring a foreclosure action than it does to work it out. Make certain to document everything in writing both to and from them, get names of the people you talk to and if possible direct phone lines. If the bank has already referred your file to an attorney, be sure to work through the attorney as they are your quickest means of communication.

You can seek a refinance with another lender, interest rates are lower now than they were a few years ago. If you were paying in a timely manner until you had the issue with your job then you should've paid the loan down a bit and there should be some equity in your home to work a refi. In doing so, you can stretch the loan out again and lower the payments.

Your third option is to do what I did, get another job. When I lost my higher paying job due to the company closing, I spent almost 3 years working 2 - 3 jobs at a time to make it through.

Your situation is sad and happens all to often now adays, but, again, take responsibilty for your actions. You were adult enough to purchase the home and take out the mortgage, now be adult enough to get through this.

No Baby Girl you DO NOT know my situation, if you don't, don't comment with a reprimand

AUTHOR: Chuck - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 20, 2007

I was making the payments just fine until the threat of lossing my job came to be. I worked for a small local government as an APPOINTED Building Official.

After a couple of run ins with the Village President and Board Members over me DOING my job and not looking the other way over their pet projects, and projects they had financial interest in it became obvious that I had better start looking for new job. I found one but unfortunatly it paid less. My wife and I are doing the best we can to keep this going. I have drained our savings, college funs, retirement accounts to keep this ship afloat, just what the hell else am I suppose to do!

I have jumped thru all the hoops that saxon has told me to do to file for forbearance until I can sell the house, yes it is listed, has been for months now, but they have yet to contact me about the request. There are also issues of questionable escrow account activity, they say I am 3K low, but as of yet still have not provided me with the details og how that happened. I didn't ask for these jerks, they bought my mortgage.

Why can't the Government put laws in place that give the consumer the right to refuse the purchase of their mortgage by a lender of questionable business practice if they do the reserch and provide the BBB cases to back it up? Baby Girl, the next time you are so inclined to post a comment like that you should find out the WHOLE story.

In my 30 year credit history I have NEVER filed for bankruptcy or been forclosed on, even after a devorce, being out of work and disabled due to a work injury, chew on that a while. I didn't plan this, I have done what I can to get it under control, and I have sent all the correpondance that saxon has asked for, just what the F else am I suppose to do. You are good at posting reprimanding comments with no advice, thanks for nothing

You knew your finances before you took the Mortgage out

AUTHOR: Baby Girl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 19, 2007

I read a lot these days about people complaining of preditory lending. My big issue with this is that you knew what your finances where when you took out the Mortgage.

I've seen people who make 4,000 a month take out a Mortgage for 2,800 a month. How can you expect to survive with the funds that are leftover?

Sure everyone stumbles from time to time. Job losses, illnesses, etc. and as you didn't post any details, I don't know what your circumstances are, but barring a those types of exceptions, like I stated earlier, no one knows your finances better than you. You're an adult who needs to take responsibility. You took out the Mortgage, your responsible for it the same way everyone else is.
