Seekverify I paid a charge of 1.00 within 23 hours was charged 39.95. I called to,complain and was rudely told that it was for 24 hour period only. I received no report and the information was inaccurate. Please post so other people do not fall victim to the scam! New York Internet

 I am filing this regarding company seekverify. On July 24 I paid 1.00 for a background check. I received information that was inaccurate, then on July 24 I was charged again for 39.95. I called and was rudely told it was for 24 hour only. Please post so that others will not fall victim as I did!

We are sorry you had a negative experience with SeekVerify. We'd like to clarify why you were billed and to assist you with the charges.

As explained on the registration page, for your convenience your membership is renewed automatically after trial period at $39.95 every 30 days until cancelled. We notify you of this during the sign up process, and you must check a box indicating that you understand this is our billing policy in order to create an account. We include our company name and toll free number in the billing descriptor of each credit card charge so that it is easy to contact us with any billing concerns.

In your specific case, it might be that you didn't cancel your membership after trial period was over and that's why you were charged $39.95. As a courtesy, this last transaction has been refunded and your subscription has been cancelled.
