After reading Straight Talk's online ad that the service would work with either an AT&T phone or an unlocked GSM phone, I purchased the service. I could not set up the "APN" info needed to make the phone work on data. Straight Talk support with heavy accents told me the phone must be unlocked first. I pointed out that their advertising said either not and. Their reply was that the phone would work as a  $45 per month voice and text service. They did not guarantee data. I asked for help. They said contact AT&T. When I got the unlock from AT&T I still could not load their APN data. When I once again tried "Technical" support, I was told this was not their problem and ask AT&T to fix a former customer's phone. I asked for my money back and was told they do not make any refunds.

This company stinks. Just read the fine print on the contact that comes with their SIM card!

In this case you get a lot worse that what you pay for.
