Travelocity Divi Divi Resorts, Aruba US Manager Randi Travelocity booked my flight to Aruba for Feb 2016, Five minutes later did a Bait and Switch, hotel booking at Divi Resorts for Aug 2015. Dates that I did not enter !! Hours of phone calls, put on hold. Finally got them to cancel and waive $350.00 cancellation fee. They charged my credit card anyway and now claim that the false reservation was never cancelled. Nationwide

On August 5th 2015, I booked flights for two to Aruba on Feb 5-14th 2016. Travelocity confirmed it at 4:15 p.m.
Discount hotels were offered, I booked Divi Aruba for Feb 5-14th 2016. Hit the payment and confirm button. My
confirmation arrived at 4:20 p.m. They confirmed my hotel for Aug 6-9th, 2015. The next day!...5000 miles away??
Immediately called Travelocity told them I never put in those dates. Was told this was a matter for Manager to
Manager discussion with the Hotel, Divi, Divi Aruba. Was put on hold for a long time. Agent came back to
say they had no answer at the resort. She gave me a phone # to call, it was bogus. (297-586-6066)
I called Travelocity back and got a sympathetic person who said he might be able to change the dates for me. He
would call me back. I checked online for prices, more than double $$ for Feb.
Called Travelocity back again. The agent cancelled my bogus reservation and told me there would be a $350.00
cancellation fee.
He gave me the US contact for Divi Divi Aruba to call about waiving the fee. The Manager's name was Randi,
phone 919-419-3484. She is available 9-5. By now it was midnight on the east coast.
Next day, I called Randi left some messages and finally got her on the line. She said she had already agreed to
waive the cancellation fee. She also told me that she does not have access to anything travelocity arranges until
they pay her following the stay. Well, I was happy. I had every reason to believe that the reservation was cancelled
and fees waived.
I booked a different hotel for Feb 5-14th 2016, on Aug 6th 2015. A week later Travelocity sent me an email, happy
to let me know that they were able to change the dates of my reservation, call them to authorize the change. I called
and guess what? He said my previous reservation had never been cancelled. Oh and guess what else, since I did not
show up on Aug 6th, I was charged a $942.60 cancellation fee.
