Verizon Order DSL Internet on 8/28 and on 9/3 cancelled because they had NO IDEA how to activate it???? Erie PA

I ordered DSL Service from Verizon on 8/26 and a self install kit arrived on 8/28. I set everything up and called to activate it and they said they needed someone to come check the lines. This occured on 9/2 early morning. When the internet still did not work, I called them several times and spent a total of about 4-5 hours on the phone with them from 9/2-9/3 being transferred from Technical Support to "Network Specialists" all who had no idea how to activate the internet.

After several broken promises, stating the internet would be on in 2-3 hours or later this evening, I cancelled the service. On 9/3 after discussing what the problem was with the "network specialist" they had NO IDEA what was wrong or how to fix it and stated I would be submitted to ANOTHER specialst on 9/4 to followup on the service. After seven days of waiting, I had enough. It is unbelievable that a multibillion dollar company is so incompetent as to not even know how to active thier own internet service. I was planning on switching to Verizon for cellular as well, but after this experience, I NEVER want to have any dealings with Verizon again!
