Verizon breaks their contract and hold me responsible for their mitake Nationwide

I was on a month to month service with Verizon  after the 24 month contract period ended.  The service for triple play  was continuously increasing $170/mo with premium channels and increasing)  so I called  and asked for a reduction towhich they agreed to do.  Next two bills come and they are the same amount.  I called to ask why the cost was the same, they responded by saying  this was the new contract (I never agreed to their cost or contract).  Verison agreed they screwed up; however, they won't let me out of the contract  that I never agreed to and I will have to pay an early termination fee of $250.  After talking for 1.5 hours  they say ok, you can go back to month to month but the cost is $190/mo without the premoium channels.    Stay away from these people (((REDACTED))) i much better
