Verizon Verizon international world plan, does not include all countries, as they tell you. It is a rip off. Newark New Jersey

When I called to pay my phone bill, the representative, introduced the world plan (International ) to me and repeatedly, told me that it definately includes the countries I am calling, and it cost $15 for 500min of talk per month. I took the plan, and a month later when I received my bill, I realized they have charged me 0ver $200 for my calls. When I contacted them, they said that the plan does not include the country I was calling, and the representative was wrong about the information. But they would not credit me for the charges. One representative boldy told me "did you record her voice saying that?" which to my negative respond he said " then you don't have any proof and you have to pay the balance!!!"

This is an outragouse rip off. I have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. I always paid my bills on time aand in full. To be treated this way by this company is an outrage. They are tricking people to buy a plan from one department and another department charges you differantly and won't take responsibility for the other department's mistake, saying: "that is not our department"!!

A verizon customer for HOW long?

According to their website, Verizon has been in existence since June 2000 as a result of the Bell Atlantic/GTE merger. According to my math, that's almost nine years ago. How could you have been with them for 20 years?

I've had to deal with their customer service twice in the time I've been with them, both times they came forth with quick and reasonable results. The last time I dealt with them, they credited my account $325.00. I believe they work with customer issues as long as a customer is willing to work with them in a pleasant manner.
