I bought 6 boxes of pasta at Walmart less than two weeks ago. Now they are covered in mold. Pasta that is fresh and stored in a cool dry place in original packageing or transferred to a sealed container should be good for 1-3 years.

Pasta that is eaten when it's past it's expiration date makes people sick because the pasta has mold and bacteria on it.

I believe that Walmart is buying pasta from manufacturers when it is already past it's expiration date to get it at a discounted price, and then selling it to unwitting customers who would then get sick.

Also, how did you leap to the conclusion that..."I believe that Walmart is buying pasta from manufacturers when it is already past it's expiration date to get it at a discounted price."

Did you just make that up?

I buy pasta from Walmart all the time over the years and NO problems.

No, I don't work for them.
