 Total Rip Off AT@T couldn't even repair a dysfunctional line on thier end. Customer No Service will lie to you and not honor any credit they agreed to.

 I was a loyal AT@T customer for over two years for DSL internet. Late September 2014 my internet stopped working. I called AT@T and they scheduled a technician to come to my home to repair the line. On 10-6 the tech arrived at around 0900hrs and was at my home for almost 5 hours. Well he was never able to find or correct the problem which at this point would have required digging up the line on AT@Ts end. He further stated that my community Lakes of Little Elm phase 2 were in an area still using outdated run down DSL lines and AT@T was not going to invest much money into repairing them at this point as they will eventually be phased out by Uverse. Of course this did not help me as I still had a defective DSL line to contend with that needed repair. The problem was never found, no repair was ever made and the tech left without fixing anything. Worse still these lines are in such poor shape it was impossible for the tech to trace the problem.

 Well I can't just pay for a non working internet line so I called AT@T customer service and cancelled my account. I was frustrated by AT@Ts unwillingness to service our lines and having to take time out of my day to wait on a tech for 5 hours on a repair that was never completed. I also informed them that at least the tech was honest and said I was being overcharged on a 3 gig line that our location doesn't even come close to supporting. I told AT@T they have been overcharging me for high speed for two + years. The customer service rep stated all I can do for you is to cancel your account, bring your bill to zero balance and give you a two month refund credit for a total of $103.04 "But you guys have been overcharging me for over two years and now the internet doesn't work at all and your tech never found the problem" the rep replied "Sorry sir I can only give you a zero account balance and a two month credit" I was tired of going back and forth so I accepted the offer.

 AT@T never honored the credit and never brought my final bill to a zero balance and they are trying to charge me -$51.52 which is not at all what we agreed to in our 10-6 phone conversation.   On 10-19 I contacted AT@T to advise them of the error. I even had to explain everything all over again as no one seems to keep any records at all when dealing with customer issues. This time I recorded everything with AT@T just in case my issue wasn't resolved. After being passed over to another "manager" they stated they would not honor the credit until an investigation was completed. I was given a case # H5438464 and told to expect a response no later than 3 days. I waited for 5 days and never got the email I was promised. I even went to check my account on line and found no two month credit and no zero balance.

10-23-2014 I contacted AT@T again, it was a good thing I saved all those records as no one at AT@T knew anything about my case # or the problem. I gave the rep all the logs I had to get them up to speed on the issue. Once again I was passed over to different "managers" and told that they were not authorized to give me the 2 month credit. I even pleaded with numerous customer service reps and “managers” to please do what is right. They did not listen and left me with no other choice than to report them here.

AT@T INTERNET SERVICES IS A TOTAL RIP OFF, BUYER BEWARE DO NOT GET DSL WITH AT@T IF YOU LIVE WHERE I DO, THEY WILL NOT PUT ANY MORE MONEY INTO THESE LINES WHICH ARE IN SERIOUS DISREPAIR, CUSTOMER NO SERVICE WILL ONLY PASS YOU AROUND BETWEEN DIFFERENT "MANAGERS" THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT HONORING ANY AGREEMENT THEY MAKE AND WILL OUTRIGHT LIE TO YOU!!!
