I had Verizon for years, but sadly in October of last year because of all the hurricanes and everything that happened I was trying to lower my bill. AT&T told me that because I was a widow I would get a military discount just like I got from Verizon from them, but they would drop my bill down to $85 at the time I was paying 120 and that is a lot of money for me right now, so I get their service and within 24 hours they go no you are not eligible because you are not the veteran. It clearly says and countless ads that they give the military discount to their veterans their wives and their family I told them that I was a widow of a veteran when I purchased their service so this should not even have been a issue .they took the discount away and changed my bill to $161 a month. There's no way possible I could afford that so upon contacting them again I went through five days of going back-and-forth with bills and then telling me it's just a computer era not to worry about it, but they kept sending me bills which I have proof of all of this for $161 so I went back to Verizon. Got my military discount within five days. I ported back my numbers to Verizon within five days of getting AT&T .
I was told I had 14 days to try their service and if for any reason I did not like it there would be no charge I thought everything was OK. It said canceled on my account and I was told I owed nothing now they are sending me bills and trying to mess my credit up for $281. They say I owe for five days worth of service yes I ported my numbers over however they changed the price within 24 hours after five days of them lying continuously to me. I went back to Verizon now there trying to say for those five days of nothing but scams and lies that I owe them $281.
This company should be ashamed of itself and veterans and their wife should be very careful about believing anything they said and for them to sit there when I have a legitimate military ID and my husbands DD 214 and they say I am not eligible is crazy once again. I have paperwork to prove all of this so I am warning people out there, especially veterans and military do not believe this company for them to do this to a widow of a veteran when things are so dire moneywise to me is unforgivable those five days of having their service was incredibly stressful and to top everything else off I had a stroke and almost died when I try to talk to them now about the bill because I record everything that I'm doing they say they do not have access to all my records, and they can't help me as soon as I click record on my phone because it comes across my phone saying it I have an iPhone they immediately hang up. That's how dishonest this company is so please, I beg people think twice before going with this company, especially anyone that they say they will give a military discount
