When I signed up for home warranty was told and received in writing that if a covered item is broken and can not be repaired they will replace it, I even called back the company and pretended to want to buy a plan and asked specific questions related to re[placement of a water heater and was told " yes if it brakes and can not be fixed we will replace it and if they can't replace it they would mail me a check to help with cost".

 So the issue is, I brought this warranty earlier this year and was told just as above, the 1st time I called it was for my kitchen microwave and when they could not find the model number on that microwave they said they could not order parts and would not replace it because if they had the serial number they would maybe able to order parts. I understood that and they sent me a check for 210 dollars to help buy a new microwave oven. This incident as explained above was with my hot water heater, I called and started a claim, paid the service fee and was told by the service tech that they get paid off the books sometimes so that they warranty company does not have to pay to replace an item so they are told to say that the item is not fixable, that left me in total disbelief.

 Within less than 1hr after the service guy left received and email to call because they needed to update me about my claim. When I called back the service the young lady told me that they had thoroughly looked into my claim and are unable to replace my water heater, when I explained that I was told that they will help with the cost of a new water heater the young lady stated " I am sorry you were missed informed we will not do that". I was left feeling used and lied too, how can a company take people's hard earned money and do not give the service they promised, dishonest undercover scammer is all I can say.
