Choice Home Warranty relyhome Contractors refuse to work with them so my HVAC system never even got looked at! Edison NJ

Choice Home Warranty advertises helping veterans and all about veterans, they offer a home warranty program that covers major appliances in your home. I should have known it was too good to be true. I started with this company and got a policy in June of 2024. Our geo thermal went out of course on the hotest part of the year July 21 2024. I started a claim with this company because they say that they cover it.

I was given the run around over and over, they would assign us a contractor, then when the contractors would call me to talk about the appointment, I would tell them that its a geo thermal unit, and they would tell me that they don't know anything about geo thermal units. This happened with the first three companies that they assigned to our claim. Then the end of August beginning of September they started assigning companies to our claim that REFUSED to work with Choice Home Warranty because they have so many bad reviews and they are a horrible company to work with. I have three emails from companies that said that exact thing so I can prove this. When I call Choice Home Warranty and told them about this, told them that I have emails to prove that these companies REFUSE to work with them and I would like a refund as they are a ripoff!

The customer service lady got really nasty with me and refused to give me a refund and just flat refused to do anything about the scam that they pulled on me. Makes me wonder how many people they do this to. I cancelled my policy, but never did receive any money back and never did get a contractor to come out and look at my geo thermal. They are a horrible company that rips off people and either the person doesn't get a contractor to their house or the company refuses to pay for or fix what they say they supposedly cover. (I got that information from one of the companies that refuses to work with them.) This company needs to be shut down. They are a horrible scam not only to civilians but they are claiming to treat veterans well. I'm sorry, but this is not good treatment.
