When we signed up for Cox Communications for Internet, Cable TV and Phone and quoted an amount; we believed them. Our bill was double that amount. When we went to cancel our subscription with Cox Communications, we were told if we subscribe to a "promotion" to get Starz, HBO, Cinemax our "bundle rate" will be lower than what we initially agreed upon. Told its good for 6-months, at the end of one month, our Cox billed doubled. When we called to cancel our service, we were told there is a penalty to cancel before the "6-month agreement" that was for 3-months. Cox can change the agreement, but the consumer being taken advantage of, has no rights to cancel. Our Cox monthly statements from that point, doubled, then tripled. Each time, Cox promised our monthly bill will adjust to a lesser amount (quoted to us) and Cox statements escalated to more then triple what we ever agreed upon. We were never late on a payment - even though it wasn't what we agreed upon.
Cox is notorious for this. The Public Utilities Commission is to regulate Cox Communications and we've sent several complaints to the PUC, however, the PUC hasn't bothered to intervene.
Consumer's Be Ware - Cox is not ethical and whatever agreement you may think you have with them, they alter without consideration of what is ethical and without consideration of what is agreed upon.

Hi Matt and Robert,
Aside from announced rate increases (usually only one per year), your bill should NOT have been increasing every month! On Demand movie purchases, PPV purchases, and long distance telephone charges (if applicable) are the only line items that would make your statement fluctuate on a monthly basis.
I want to make sure that every line item on your statement is correct. If we have made a mistake, I will correct it. When you have a moment, email your post and your full service address to coxhelp@cox.com so I can investigate for you. I'm happy to help!
Sincerely,
Becky K.

With all of your talk of your monthly bill doubling and tripling every month, you must be paying a couple thousand dollars each month by now. I don't even think that if you maxed out on all of their services you could hit that amount.
I'd really hope you post the breakdown so everyone can see this extensive(and expensive)bill.
