A mysterious charge appeared on my Amex account this month for $110 from FreedomPop. I signed up for this service three years ago and made my last attempted call almost two years ago. The Sprint service was so poor that I discontinued the service. The phone has been deactivated for almost two years, has no service and my FreedomPop account shows no active devices. I had to find and recharge a dead phone to even find an associated number to speak with customer service. They were unable to find a phone listed under the number associated with the phone. They were also unauthorized to do anything about the charge! I logged onto FreedomPop in an attempt to deactivate any device considered active and there was nothing to deactivate since I don't have an active device listed.
I rarely look at my Amex bill as this charge was discovered by my wife thus possible they have done this before and I failed to catch, considering it's been years since I had the service.
