due to a winter storm on march 3 i was unable to deposit money in my account due to the bank being closed at that time. i tried to call my branch and there was no answer. because of the weather i was not driving all over the place looking for a bank to be opened. i assumed they were all closed which i found out they opened later and closed early. a friend attempted to put money in later in afternoon and they had closed. i called the 800 customer sevice number and was told to deposit in atm and since it was cash it would be avaiable.

i did that and my account showed it to be available. i was charged $144 in overdraft fees. i called the 800 number and have recieved nothing but the run around. i checked my account tonight and now i was charged another $155. they promised to call me and not hve done so. then i find out when you call the800 number you do not always get the same office. they could be in nc,sc,va, tx, or fl. they do not care of the situation or that they took food and needed meds of your table.

i am told that available balance is what u can take out but if it hasn"t actually posted then you can get overdraft fees. that doesn't make sense, you can go to a atm and draw it out but it doesn't cover checks or pending transaction. it's the same way with my direct deposit its available friday morning but since it's not posted till friday night if anything comes through they will charge fees. they are a big rip off!! customer service really need training. i talked with 3 different people and they tell you 3 different things!

You attempted to "float" the funds and got caught. Moral of the story: make the deposit first, then make the withdrawals.
