on the 12/10/2010 i was paying bills online, one of them was $109.21 I didn't put the desimal my fault it went through as 10,921.00.. i do not have that kind of money...

I called the bank immidatly.. they said it was my fault and they were going to draft the $35.00 overdraft fee.and they did on 12/14/2010 ..Now i have $38.00 left in my account for the week gas food always run that close... well on 12/17/2010 The bank drafted another $35.00 for the same transaction.. And would not refund that.

$35.00 may not be alot of money to alot of people but thats all i have to get me and my kids to next payday. I called about the mistake...they new it and still charged me 2 overdraft fees How is that legal...And i thought transaction over 10,000.00 were supposed to be verified?

Please tell me what i can do. Thank you

If it's a typo you did, it's your error. While it may seem unfair, it's not the bank's fault. Think about this - if claiming something was a "typo" could get fees refunded, people would use this as an easy excuse every time something went wrong.

First off if the bank did screw up they need to be held accountable. But based on what you wrote here it appears as if you are truly at fault. If you caught your misake "immediatly" you or they should have been able to cancel it.

Can I modify or delete a scheduled payment that has not yet been sent?
Yes. All payments can be either modified or deleted up to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the processing date.
------------------------------------------------

If they didn't cancel it and you got an "overdraft fee" that would mean that they paid the $10,000. Since you had $38 left and appear to keep a low balance, I would guess that they didfix it and only paid the $109. As banks are not going to let people get $10,000 in the negative, even people who generally keep high balances.

But since you didn't appear tohave $109 in your account, that put you into overdraft. That is NOT their fault. Now, that is just based on the little that is posted here. If you have more details that may clear some of it up.
