CenturyLink was properly informed about an upcoming move out of our apartment in Colorado.
CenturyLink was given a disconnect date, but apparently ignored it, or lost that information, or whatever.
The CenturyLink service remained on long after we had moved out of the Apt. and even longer after they were notified of the disconnect we were expecting. This negligence on the part of CenturyLink kept an account open and accumulating a balance that had NOTHING to do with us LONG after CenturyLink had proper notification.
CenturyLink decided that the answer for their own impropriety was to file their fantasy bill with a collection agency.
I have filed disputes with both the collector and with the credit bureau.
Whomever it is at CenturyLink that is allowing this sloppy (or Intentional) behaviour should be fired immediately!
I can only imagine what CenturyLink is doing to folks with less fortitude & resources to combat this type of nonsense.

Deception???

When somebody signs a contract which attests to their understanding they will make on time payments but then later FAILS to do what they PROMISED to do....THAT'S DECEPTION! Your whining is straight from the serial deadbeat's handbook. You end up with this subprime deadbeat lender because the banks would NOT do business with you because of YOUR reputation of NOT paying YOUR bills on time.
Just like clockwork, you don't pay them on time either! If YOU don't like the consequences YOU bring upon YOURSELF by being a serial deadbeat, then change your ways and PAY ON TIME! Let me save you some effort. Don't bother writing back with some immature nonsense like, "you must work for them". I'll tell you ahead of time, I DON'T!

Consumer Whining.

Dear Perry Mason,
Your fantasy narrative about me is just as authentic as your name. I have no doubt that CenturyLink is happier than anyone to know you are NOT on their payroll. The ability to speak-up in this country that you so flippantly call whining is just another reason why this nation is great! There is a tradition in the US of people having a voice.
If a corporation is getting 'it' wrong (& they did) - they need to hear about it. Many companies can make dramatic profitable improvements after hearing some legitimate "whining". If you believe that people should just shut-the-heck-up when thay have been wronged, then maybe YOU are the one that needs to re-examine your level of maturity.
