i signed up for a free month with freedompop after purchasing a device from groupon.

twice i paid $10 for use "on the go" and and still with $12 left i am completely blocked from using them.

now they don't allow me to downgrade to the free plan or any plan whatsoever until i have paid for the $18 monthly fee plus $10 for additional services that i didn't order.

i emailed customer service more than dozen times and i keep getting a reply that in order to downgrade to the free plan i need to update my credit card info with enough funds.

enough funds for what?
to charge me $30 for a service that was supposed to be free?
