Joseph, Steven & Associates ignored my calls, out of office excuse, did not send refund Ventura California

I received a phone call on 8-6-2007 from Ashley Nyf, a representative of Joseph, Steven & Associates, regarding a past due debt owed to my company.

She explained to me that she could collect the $30,000.00 debt plus intrest owed to me if I could send a one time fee in the amount of $8,700.00 to retain the serves of Joseph, Steven & Associates to resolve this matter.

She called my office several times that day in an attempt to get me on board. Against my better judgement I agreed. She sent me the forms to fill out and we started the process.

From 8-7-2007 to 9-7-2007, she called me at least 10 times a day. She desperatley needed a check to get the ball rolling. Between 8-10-2007 and 9-7-2007, I wrote Joseph, Steven & Associates 4 checks in the total amount of $8,700.00.

The company that owed me $30,000.00 filed bankruptcy. I have tried contacting Ashley Nyf. She was taken off my case and Elizabeth Wright was assigned to my case.

In a letter from Tiffany Storme, another representative of Joseph, Steven & Associates, it states "NO RECOVERY! NO FEE!". I still have not received a refund after several attempts to do so.

I have called Joseph, Steven & Associates since they received the $8,700.00 and I have had contact with a representative on two occassions. All other calls made to Joseph, Steven & Associates have resulted in disconnections or "Someone will return your call".

It is now 1-23-2008 and it's the same old story. I call and I get put on hold for 30 minutes or more, phone goes dead, or "Someone will return your call".

I have retained the services of a private investigator to investigate Joseph, Steven & Associates. I now know they originated in the state of Washington and were shut down for fraudulent business practices and they use aliases.

I will have more information by tomorrow and will post it as soon as possible.
