After agreeing to let this company negotiate credit card rates for us and verbally agreeing to allow them to charge us the one time fee (thinking it wouldn't be charged until we had sent our packet back and had spoken with a "financial consultant"), my husband was suspicious. I did some research, found other complaints on this site and with the BBB of Arizona and have decided to cancel and try to get our money back. I tried the number they gave me over the phone as well as the number on the paperwork and both took me to an answering machine that doesn't even identify the company, just says they are closed and to call back during regular business hours, 10-5 "Arizona" time. Being that it is now only 2:30 Central time, it is during business hours! I am now very concerned that I will never even get to speak with them and am planning to contest the charge with my credit card company.

PDM Denying Refund even though NO services have been provided!!

AUTHOR: Susan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 10, 2007

I am now in the same boat as others who have reported on this company. I did finally get ahold of the company yesterday and was told I was not eligible for a refund even though their cancellation policy (or lack there of) was never explained. The CS rep says that in order to qualify for a refund I would need to send in the packet of information and if my "financial advisor" can't prove that they will save us $2500 in interest charges (in who knows what time period) that then I would qualify for a refund.

I am saying that since they have provided NO services for me at this point (other than "starting a file") that I should be eligible for a full refund, or at the very least the $900 ($990 minus the "non-refundable application fee"). At no point did they say that the $900 would be non-refundable if we decided against the program once receiving the packet that is filled with vague information that my husband and I thought was suspicious. They told me a manager would call me within 24-48 hours even though I had requested to speak to one immediately. I just received a call (within 24 hours) from the infamous "Mike Cross" who says there is no way that I will get a refund even though I have disputed the charge with my credit card company.

I feel like a complete idiot for not asking questions when they solicited my business but they make it sound like such a wonderful deal and I had no idea that once discussing it with my husband they wouldn't let me out of the verbal agreement. Ridiculous. How many other companies take your money before they even do anything and then won't provide a refund. Do the right thing PDM!
The BBB of Arizona is next on my list to report this company to.
