Pimsleur Approach Stroll, Scam, Ripoff, hidden charges, $10.00 Lure Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

My experience with PimsleurApproach, Et Al, is the same as other people submitting scam reports to ripoffreport.com.  

I ordered the Spanish Language "introductory" discs for $10.00.  I then received a second package of "Gold" level language disks.  I did not return them in time to cancel the credit card charge which I understood would be $30.00 but turned out to be $64.00.

I received a third package of language disks.  I thought I had received everything I had purchased. The invoice comes with the words "Free Trial" typed across the Unit Price and Total columns and a charge of $0.00 on the Order Total line.  I sent the package back along with a letter attached and stated in the letter to not send me anymore packages and not to charge my credit card account for anymore charges.  I paid for the postage to send the package back.  

Just a few days after sending the fourth language disk pack back, I received another package of disks. I immediately called the company, spoke to someone in customer service.  They had received my return package.  The customer service rep. stated they would e-mail me a label to send the fourth package back.  They claim they have credited my account for one $64.00 payment but have not taken the payment off for the fourth package yet.  I will be calling to get that charge reversed as soon as I receive the label from UPS to ship that pack back.  

These companies are affiliated with Simon and Shuster, Inc.  I would think that Simon and Schuster would be more careful about whom they associate with.  I recommend they pull their license from Internet Order, LLC and not do business with them anymore.
