Placesettings.com Charged for merchandise that was never shipped. Can't obtain a refund from the company! Matthews North Carolina

I placed an order for Lenox soup bowls on 1/24/08. My credit card was charged on 1/25/08. Two weeks later, no merchandise. I send an e-mail requesting information on my order and I receive an e-mail back saying that it can take up to 4 weeks for an order to ship.

Time goes by; I send another e-mail and I receive one back saying that they will look into it. No response after that. I send another e-mail and now I'm told that it can take up to 10 weeks for an order to ship. They also said that they will check with the manufacturer and "get back to me". Once again, no response.

I send another e-mail telling them to cancel my order and refund my credit card. I get an e-mail back saying that they have canceled my order per my request.....no mention of a credit to my credit card. I contact them about the credit and I'm told that they will turn this over to their credit team.

Never hear back from them again! I send e-mails and get no response. I called my credit card company and no credit has been made! Now I have to go through a lot of time consuming paperwork with the credit card company. To make matters even worse.....my china pattern has since been DISCONTINUED! Thank you placesettings.com for screwing me royally! All this lost time when I could have received the last pieces to my set from another vendor!!!
