Santander is a finance nightmare for auto purchases. I purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 from a so called reputable dealer in Simi Valley, Calif in the fall of 2006. Vehicle was paid in full ito HSBC in 2009 after securing my 401k proceeds to do same with. Santander continued to bill, and threaten me with late and non payment conditions.
Vehicle was to be returned to dealership, I was awaiting paperwork from my attorney when they decided to repossess the unit. The towing company in Oxnard, Calif unlawfully removed 2 hanndguns from the center console and secure storage unit within the interior of the vehicle. Unable to secure the return of these weapons
Santander auctioned off the vehicle after claiming, much needed work was done to it. Wrong, vehicle was immaculate.. Police reports were filed reference the weapons, still awaiting results here.
How is it, this finance company after paying the vehicle off is allowed to repo and auction off same?

No one is questioning the LATE payments, vehicle was PAID in full, and still you charged me monthly for it, until I refused to make anymore payments, after sending in 7 copies of the check made to HSBC. Also you were made aware of the vehicle being returned to the dealership under the California lemon law, and refused to honor it. Also there was no work done to the vehicle by any agency, individual or entity prior to auction, I know I was there. Thirdly there were 2 handguns locked in the vehicle that one of your cronies removed.

If you made late payments, the interest continued to run up because of them. If you didn't pay the extra interest because of late payments then its repo time.
